Tan cloth with green spine, stamped block with title pastedown on front, 8vo (22 cm), green map of Eneas' wanderings through seven states on endpapers, xx, 38 pp [8], illustrated. Entertaining story, told through letters and newspaper articles, of a slave who took his master's valuables away for safekeeping, but not knowing any geography, wandered all over the South for years and adventures while trying to find his way home. [Note: politically incorrect or offensive language] Fair/no DJ: rear joint cracked with spine cloth loose and bottom of spine missing, corners worn, small ink stain on rear cover, pages intact, no internal markings.
