Door Company Ledger Combined National Bill Register and Daily Record of Receipts and Disbursements, No. 138 and 138A, Zion City, Ill., National Office Supply Company, half red leather over textured black boards, folio (35 cm), two registers bound tête-bêche or upside-down to each other. “Front” cover titled Receipts and Disbursements (faded). “Burtner Furniture Company, High Point, N.C.” written on first page [2], with summary statement for Dec./Jan. 1918/1919. Subsequent entries begin in 1919. Pages numbered by leaves 1-75, with numerical entries written on 8 leaves. The rear (untitled front cover) contains title page with “Wabash Screen Door Co, Chicago” and “Jan 1st 1919” written on it [ii], [xxiv tabbed index pp], pages numbered by leaves 1-129. Register entries to p. 104 list furniture companies of multiple states, with many in Philadelphia, New York (state) and North Carolina, late 1918 through 1920. Fair to Good: covers worn with head and tail of spine chipped/missing, front gutter taped, edges and endpapers have dark [possibly soot] markings, Chicago side has dark stains especially index tabs, few pages have bug-damage on edges with no loss.
