Half leather over marbled boards, gilt-stamped spine in six compartments with red leather title box, marbled edges and endpapers, xii, 444 pp, 32 illustrated plates plus frontispiece.

Regimental history including army life, select biographies. The chapter on "The Negro" reflects the variety of people, situations, and responses to the Union Army that the author(s) encountered from Maryland to Louisiana. Tables contain a wealth of regimental genealogy, including causes of death (during and after the war), contemporary addresses, marital status and number of children.

Good: ex-library with stickers and stamps, covers wearing with leather scratched, small spots on top edges.
