Fair to Good: spines very worn or bug-eaten with partial labels present, covers very worn (v2 detached), chip out of title pages with no text loss, some tears and chips in the wide margins, some smudges or ink near edges, v.1 light corner dampstains 325ff including Cowpens plate, rear hinge cracked and rear cover light dampstains, occasional po markings including name on endpapers and pencil correction on frontispiece, v. 1 errata sheet missing blank half. Vintage bookshop label inside rear cover. V2: cover to p.6 detached (fold-out map with hand-colored routes present), cracked between p. 224 and plate, corner dampstain about p. 369ff, increasing with old dark spots, some heavy tanning.
