James N. Richardson and unnamed sister, The Quakri at Lurgan and Grange by Two of Themselves, ca 1899 reprint of 1877 book. Book of satirical verse "inspired by the then somewhat heated discussions in our [meeting...] on the subjects of Music and the condition of the Society Schools," with portraits of 19th-century Friends captioned by their Romanised satirical names and their actual names. INSCRIBED by author to clerk of New York Yearly Meeting. Green cloth with gilt-stamped line border, large 12mo (18 cm), vi, 160 pp including portrait plates. Very Good: corners and spine rubbed, small spots on endpapers, no internal markings.
